UNKNOWN PLEASURES : CHARLOTTE'S SHADOW

It's not a very easy thing categorising gothbands in this zine because if you think about it, most of them are like unknown pleasures. It's not only a genre which is totally ignored by the press (if someone could explain me why) but even in its entirely genre, most fans stick to the well known names.
With Charlotte's Shadow it's no different even if this Irish band have been around since 2001. Having played with the likes of Clan Of Xymox, Die Untoten or The Faces Of Sarah our Irish goths have been a bit everywhere around this globe.
Honestly said, it took me some time before I really could appreciate them as you can describe them musically as Clan Of Xymox (same synthdriven gothpop) but with a voice like...Carl McCoy.
I know, at first sight it looks like an impossible combination but if you hear their latest album "Eternal sleep" you surely will become little by little addicted...of course if you like gothsounds.
